Accreditations demonstrate commitment to health & safety

26/06/2020

At DVI Technologies, we continually monitor the health, safety and welfare of our employees and those that may be affected by our actions such as our clients, contractors, sub-contractors and the public. We're delighted to have been awarded SafeContractor approved status as well as accreditation from CHAS, the Contractors' Health & Safety Assessment Scheme for another year, demonstrating our compliance to new and existing clients.

SafeContractor verified DVI's health and safety compliance and will showcase our profile to hundreds of companies that only work with SafeContractor members, offering them the peace of mind that our health and safety practices are compliant with the law.

CHAS helps to improve health and safety standards across the UK and safeguard organisations from risk.

Stephen Murney, Director of DVI, said: "Health and safety is our top priority and to ensure we're up-to-date with the latest rules and regulations, we retain the services of a competent advisor, Louise Percy at Positive About Business.

"On each project, we collate detailed site-specific health and safety documentation and undertake in-depth risk assessments and method statements before the installation start date. To continually ensure that health and safety standards are being maintained, we conduct regular site inspections. Our commitment to health and safety has always been paramount and is more important now than ever before".

Gemma Archibald, Managing Director of Alcumus SafeContractor, commented: "No-one goes to work to get injured. Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.

"SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs while working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process. During the current economic impact of Covid-19, it's more important than ever that contractors enhance their reputation and win work by continuing to demonstrate their commitment to delivering the highest standards of health and safety compliance."

Covid-19: Getting back to business, safely

As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and its economic disruption, DVI Technologies adopted new Covid-19 secure working practices for both their own operation and as a service they can offer to help their clients to become Covid-19 secure.

Stephen added: "We offer a comprehensive range of infrastructure solutions for communications and IT. We have been able to adapt our usual services to allow for organisations who need to make their workplaces Covid-19 secure. This includes considerations such as relocating desks so that safe working distances can be maintained and facilitating remote working through network upgrades and new software installation."
